Large Prom 10th Feb

Have not done much solar in recent times and yes I am still around Checked the Solar Gong website and saw this decent prom. The composite image consists of best 350 frames from 2000 taken. Used a 127mm refractor with Quark Prominence and 174 chipped camera.

That's a great image Ted with plenty of crisp detail
I really like the tiny "flames" at the surface along the top edge. They just make it.

Thanks Peter. As you know, seeing is the key for detail .

Lovely animation BTW. I have not done one of these in years. Hopefully the sun fires up and we get some constant higher levels of action
