Thor's Helmet narrowband

Got around to processing some unprocessed data I'd taken earlier

Narrowband bi-colour of NGC2359
Taken from my backyard in melbourne

https://www.flickr.com/photos/355392...blic/lightbox/

O3 - 8 x 30mins
Ha - 21 x 20mins

7hrs of ha and 4 hrs of O3 mapped to LRGB as HaHaO3O3

10inchF4 home built Newtonian
SBIG STF8300m
Paramount MyT
Astrodon Ha, O3 filters

Processed in Startools and RawTherapee

Cheers

I really like this one.

Nice filigree details, beautifuly round stars. All it needs is RGB stars...difficult from the ‘burbs.....but they would make it the chef’s hat

Nice image Al - great detail showing there!

RGB stars would be cool too if you get a chance

Did you shoot this from the 'burbs or a dark site?

Thanks for the comments everyone.
Andy, I took this from the 'burbs.

Hope to add some RGB data when I get the chance.

Cheers
Alistair

As Mike mentioned, I've added a comparison of my effort from 2014 and the current 2017 one.
interestingly, both were taken with the same scope and camera and from the same location.
Just a slightly improved operator
