Optus FTP problems

Gday All

I think i hate Optus now.
I have an ADSL line with Optus and 2 email addresses, each of which has about 30MB of diskspace associated with them.
For the last 6 years or so, i have used FTP to login and store a small amount of data there.
Last week, my std FTP app ( WinSCP ) started getting "Access denied" errors. I tried using CMD.exe ( as admin ) and manually connecting.
This also fails with error 530 "Login incorrect"
I have disabled the firewall
I know the user names and passwords are correct.
My email still works
I can manually download the files from there if itype in the exact url to them, but i can no longer "see" whats there, or work with it.
After 20mins on hold to Optus, i got transferred to "Optus Premium", who basically said "we are a third party company and will book you in and call back later" ( and we need a min $90 up front )
I said i'm not paying unless its my fault, so they put me back to the original OPTUS phone no ( ie start again at press 1, press 3, you are important to us )
Does anyone else have OPTUS and use FTP this way
and if so, is it working????

Andrew
