Probably the first and only time i will get to image Lovejoy

Well the weather down here in the gong has been awful in the mornings, at least when i have gotten up early enough.
But finally this morning, me and my fellow WAACERS had a meet to image Lovejoy before she fizzles out

This is my best attempt at processing so far, and it probably can be improved upon as DSS decided to throw a fit and wouldn't let me use RAWS, so these are Jpegs. I have converted the RAWS to TIFF and will try again later

Another issue i have is because i have a tree in the shot ( i wanted it arty), it won't let me stack more than a handful of images without rotation taking place
So this is just 2x 30 Sec exposures at ISO 1600

So its probably Grainy, but I like it because I have :
Foreground
Lovejoy
Milky Way
SMC
LMC
Morning Dawn

Not bad Stu

A few extra shots to stack would've made it a bit brighter, but that's a good shot

Yep Stu, that's the way I remember it looking that morning. I've started processing my shots and I'll post them eventually. I'm also interested to see what Joe, Jeff and Graham got.

The next night we went to Gerroa but it was a cloud-out. Monday morning was never going to happen and I was too tired this morning and didn't want to be a wreck at work. Tomorrow morning is supposed to be cloudy and then the moon starts to interfere. Still we saw more than some poor sods.
