What an inconsiderate person!

I had a car full of teenagers wearing flexible glow sticks and bracelets turn into our cul-de-sac with loud duff duff music and wave green lasers all over the house and observatory the other night. I happened to be out in the obs at the time.

I live far away from suburbia. Kind of a surreal experience actually, but inconsiderate nonetheless.

Simon find an old flash gun, and mate that to a telescope at the focal plane. Keep that handy and charged up in the obs.

If those twits turn up again take aim carefully (a finder helps) let them have a blast full on and they’ll **** their pants.

I can say a Mecablitz on an old C8 OTA worked superbly.

Optional: precede with a nice amplified sound of the flash charging and the voice of Capt Picard announcing “set phasers to stun”...

When the idiots shined things at our helo we turned on the Spectrolab SX-16 NiteSun and lit them up with the 4 degree narrow beam and 30 + million candlepower, usually had the desired result...

That helicopter looked like it was flying pretty low, wonder what the mission was? Looks like he was already targeted by the chopper before he started the laser.

I wonder how retroreflective materials would do for defense purposes. I suppose the beam would be too fanned out by the time it hit the offending turd
