2nd go with asi 53

Only ever used DSLRs until I got the 533 (and not very successfully)

2nd time using it and I went for M83 again 59x 100 second subs (from 90 subs)
The wind was very gusty here

SW ED80 on AZEQ6pro uhc filter used
Gain 160 and -5 degrees
No guiding, dithering or any calibration frames (just want to play around with settings first).
Any hits, tips or critiques are very welcomed

Hi Tony

Would love to have a look but your linked photos don't work (for me).

Try using the upload feature in IIS.
You can submit images up to about 1.2Mbyte and the server will downsize for you.

Well I tried staring at them, and willing them to open, that didn't work

www.iceinspace.com.au didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

Might be my server??

Strange cause I can open everyone else's.

Staring at them won't work, either try averted vision or a different browser.

Righto. Now where cooking! (Thanks Andrew)

Tony: A great capture esp. for the ED80.
I like the way you have added the closeup in the frame.

Your processing by high lighting the red bits has revealed quite a lot of detail.

I cant imagine doing a 100s exposure with no guiding, you must have good polar alignment.

A great effort!

If a different browser fixed it, just clear your cache in the old browser next time, or Shift+F5

on topic, great images. What a beautiful galaxy, I need to read up on it

Yeah Peter, i wouldn't have any idea what was going wrong mate, glad you can see them now. I have been lucky to get subs of 240 seconds unguided before now, but they were with my old canon 300d, so the amp glow was awful
Thanks for the kind comments guys.
