Eta Car

Afternoon all,

Here's a shot I did last night whilst trying to sort OAG, which I've had for quite sometime but never sat through the torment of setting it up properly. 2 and a bit hours later and a few choice words I was able to guide quite successfully.

This is only a quick 8 min 43 sec tops, I forgot to check out what DSS said. I was only able to source 2 x 180 and 1 x 163 before clouds decided I should pack up.

Equip used was my RC8 with no reducer to get up close and personal,
Canon 700D modded.

It was a quick process through Star Tools and a little tweak in DPP.

That's a great start Karl.

As you know adding more time will bring out more detail and contrast.

Getting the guide to work is always a hassle, just one of many...

I was strapped for time last night with clouds, I was mainly working out the bugs of OAG where as before I had a piggyback set up. Better to debug a night away than pulling hair out on a good clear night. I know to have more time and have some images with a total of 16 hrs and more.

Thanks for your comment Peter.
