Lovejoy in retro Black and White (now with colour view too)

Drove near 200 km again this morning got clouded out but near dawn we got some clear sky. The comet was too washed out for colour so I went with retro black and white look.

Probably not to everyones taste, but there is that yesteryear look to this image, that reminds me of Tech Pan 2415.

Click here for colour view. Little bit noisey but I am happy enough with the image.

Good to see I am not the only crazy one here

Nice work Paul, like the retro look of it. Nothing wrong with old B&W sometimes this can show more detail.

Is that 200km one way or both... better be one way for you to be crazy enough to make the list

I like the way how the comet appears to pierce the cloud Paul. Adds another dimension I think and gives the comet more perspective.

200 km all up mate. When I am tired from 3 days of driving all over the place and little sleep. Tomorrow is out of course, but next week should be good from the Observatory.

Lovely image very much to my taste, nice work. Would a negative view work on an image like this?
