I do like a challenge. Comet Lulin from about 15° above the horizon with 13X3min shots (ICNR) over about 90 min. Final height around 40°. Add to that a nearly full moon ( the sky was a fabulous blue colour) to help wash out the faint details and shooting in the only direction I get sky glow/light pollution. Noisy but I'm happy I achieved anything at all.
Details:
Canon 20d ( modded)
ED80 & W.O 0.8 FR
14X3min (a satellite contaminated one rejected) with ICNR, no flats
Aligned and stacked (average to keep down the noise as much as possible (ha))
Post processing PS CS3
I'm looking forward to giving this a go on a dark night with a bit more focal length. Try and get a bit of detail.
Positive comments and praise welcome.......criticisms....well I'm thick skinned, bring 'em on
thanks for looking.
ps. focus was a bit soft. It was a real struggle for some reason.
