Excellent Podcast for any budding astronomer

Hey all,
Just wanted to let everyone know there is a great podcast on all things astronomy.
Its called Astronomy Cast http://www.astronomycast.com/
I would imagine quite a few people on this forum already know about it, I only found it about a month ago and is fantastic.
They do a different subject each week, ranging from:
Getting started in amateur astronomy
Individual episodes on all the planets and their moons
Globular Clusters
Quasars
Black holes (awesome/amazing theories and info - loved this episode)
Radio Astronomy
Infrared Atronomy

They are up to episode 130 odd so there is a heap of info. Just a fantastic and very educational. It would be great for senior high school students I reckon.
It's worth a listen if you even have a passing interest in Astronomy and if you are into astronomy (like all of us here) then its fantastic. Highly recommended.

Yeah, this is a great show. I've been listening since the beginning and Fraser and Dr. Pamela Gay do an excellenct job of simplifying the topics for the listener. I have them all on mp3 and I occasionally listen to repeats on my iPod. The question shows are also good.

I was looking at this site yesterday, and thinking I should put the link up for people to have a look.
I had been on that oneminuteastronomer.com site and they had a link to it.
Some great topics though yet to watch any.
Thanks Jared

There's a bunch of great astronomy podcast links at http://www.iceinspace.com.au/podcasts.html

I agree that AstronomyCast, along with Astronomy 161 and 162 are just brilliant for those that want to learn more.

the ABC radio national science show, while clearly not strictly about astronomy, is really good and does cover some astro stuff

What about podcasts for amateur astronomy? Things like equipment reviews, viewing and astro-photography hints etc.

Anyone come across anything like that?

Cheers

I like the monthly Astronomy-a-Go-Go at http://astronomy.libsyn.com/

Alice has a nice, relaxed approach. It's Northern hemisphere based, but nice to listen to on the hike home.
