First Light from refurbished Sirius Dome - Grus Quartet

After spending 6 months last year refurbishing and motorising a second hand 2.3 Meter Sirius Dome, I finally had a chance to get my first image.

The Grus Quartet taken with a William Optics 110mm TBM refractor and Moravian G2-8300 camera

4 hours of Lum and 2 hours each of RGB

Taken from the backyard 12km from Brisbane CBD

Comments and suggestions welcome

Thanks Geoff

Nice work, Geoff; gotta love the Grus Quartet.

So you got the dome refurbed and motorised eh? Congrats! I'd be interested to hear what you ended up doing with it :-)

Hey Geoff, congrats on the setup. I realise it’s been a while, but I’m thinking about adding the automation kit to an old 2.3, what can you share about the experience with a prospective “victim”?
