Oh wow

Clear skies, and a total lunar eclipse. We watched from the start and were just amazed. The moon turned a lemon drop colour to my wife and a bit more of a reddish tint to me.

There were also multiple shooting stars with 1 fireball going more or less east to west about 1/2 way through the eclipse.

We have had terrible observing all year so for it to be clear tonight was a real bonus

Sounds like you had a ripper of an eclipse, top stuff.

I had a total cloud-out from sunset to sunrise, very dissapointing.

I had a brief glimpse of about 3 seconds after totality but other than that, nothing.

I'll just have to set my sights on the transit of Venus.

It was a ripper and a wow and i am sorry that I did not paste this link yesterday.

They ran a real time full length broadcast. They used the event to promote their business but that is certainly their right. they do some interesting astronomy and all of us can watch for free when our own skies are lousy.
