Light pollution and narrow band imaging...?

Hey all,

A few Questions regarding Narrow band imaging..

Is narrow band imaging affected by light pollution?

What are the advantages of narrow band imaging over "normal" RGB imaging like that through a DSLR...?

Can Comets be photographed using certain types of narrow band filters? If so which ones show them the best.

Just throwing out the line and seeing what narrow band imaging is all about...

thanks in advance...

No, narrowband imaging is generally not influenced by light pollution. When imaging close to the moon though, the broad spectrum light being reflected will effect you.

Re the comets, there used to be a filter called the swan band that was for comets, just how it performed and whether it was visual or imaging ....
