have increased from 3 to 6 hours to bring out a little more on my tangled web.
Ideally I'd like to see another doubling to around 12 hours, but with weather what it is and space between trees etc, I'm not sure it's worth it this year. At least with my new CEM70 mount I seem to have got it tracking well and consistently... often dropping below 0.5 arcsecond these days and prob averaging around 0.6-0.7.
All 2min exposures with QHY268c (equiv the asi2600) in High Gain Mode at 60 gain. L extreme filter and Espirit 100ed.
Stacked in APP and separated and saved into Ha-OIII mono as a Luminance, Ha as Red and OIII as green and Blue and then recombined and processed in Startools. Used Matrix setting in Startools colour module and selected H (H+O) 100R, 50R + 25G + 25B, 50G + 50B setting to give this colour palette
Good depth there Robert! Do you have a link to a high res version? The core and associated cluster look like they're sharp and detailed but the rest here isn't able to support it!
Anyway, great stuff, makes me want to do more time in it too
thanks JP, yes a lot lost in downsize and compression. Here's a link to the full res jpeg...not sure it looks any better on my zenfolio site, but can download the original to look on any other program.
Very good. Six hours is time well spent. Lots of fine colourful spider webs and trapped insects there . Would be interesting to see a higher res version.
Thanks. Looks great in higher res. Lots of fine detail and colour.
Was that a standard APP formula?
Hi Ray, I didn't combine in APP, just extracted the layers,ha-OIII mono and Ha ans OIII extracts using APP. I combined those layers as luminance (ha-oiii) and red (ha) then blue and green (OIII) in Startools. Cheers robert
