Comet Obs 10th/11th Feb 2010

Hi all, observed from Armidale last night, 29P is still quite bright after it's recent outburst!

Comet Observations 10th/11th February 2010


29P/ Schwassmann-Wachmann

2010 February 10.50 UT; m1= 10.7; Dia= 0.7’; DC= 7; 25cm L, f:5 (x39)
Coma very small, bright central condensation, very thin diffuse coma edge, no tail.
Comp Star= GSC-0824-0930; Method= S; Cat= HS


81P/ Wild 2

2010 February 10.59 UT; m1= 10.2; Dia= 2’; DC= 6; 25cm L, f:5 (x39)
Tail visible, 15’ in length in PA 293 degrees.
Comp Star= TYC 4972-393-1; Method= S; Cat= TJ
