Not sure how many Legacy parts Losmandy has left, but yes, the front switch membrane can be replaced...and much cheaper than a new controller.

I don't know the mechanism in these controllers - but sometimes these contact switches can be fixed by opening the unit and cleaning the contact points with an alcohol solvent - they can get a build up with time. A few of the buttons on my celestron controller stopped working and that's how I fixed it.

Regards,
Tony.

Won't work. It's an OEM stick-on membrane.

Disconnect internal ribbon connector.

Peel old one off.

Peel the backing off the new switch membrane and stick it on.

Reconnect cable. ....but you need the replacement part, nothing else will work.

Ask Scott Losmandy directly?

I am not sure Losmandy is anything like AP - I was FLOORED when they still had original decals and parts for the AP Star12ED, last made in 1991...
