Great captures Dennis! my son had a job with RAAF a few months ago as was taken up in a C 17 training run and did interviews with various RAAF personal and put together this clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHsk-16wULA

Wow - looks like Joel had a blast filming this event. I assume it was at Evans Heads?

Did Joel get to enjoy the event or was he too focused on the technical aspect of the filming session?

They are cavernous aircraft from inside, loved the air-to-air scenes, I assume the camera operator was tethered to the aircraft.

Yes Dennis they went down the coast then up again along North Stradbroke Island,and got a fair way down the ramp all strapped in! while it was open,his friend Jarrod Stock also got some images-one features on front cover of July/Sept 'Areo' magazine. Yes Joel took images of the planes at River fire and then went home.He has been out in KC 30 and had filmed the hornets come to re fuel.Will try and find the link
