Finally I have found a good diagonal

Like most people I started out learning the hard way many years ago, buying the wrong thing that I THOUGHT was the right thing and progressing from there, such as thinking I knew best and bought a 120mm Acro refractor on EQ3 mount (WAY back) and never using it, as being autistic setting it up annoyed the hell out of mer.

MANY years later, two years ago I bought what I have now, and now two years on I have finally again through trial and error and expense found a good diagonal, in fact I have three now, one for each scope.

I initially got the William Optics 2" carbon dialectric because the Skywatcher ones really are not great.

Now as I said I found what I consider the perfect ones................... For me

The baader Click Locks.

I have them on both Refractors and my SC, whilst nothing is perfect, the quality and ease makes them a lovely diagonal.

I have found the Baader diagonals are as good as it gets and as everything in this hobby the top end gear just works as you want it to time and time again, An excellent choice you have made

After a lot of research I went for the Baader BBHS. Expensive, but should last a long time and give excellent views. The clicklock is great too.

I am also a big fan of the Baader diagonals and their clip lock system.

Shame it isn't a 2" diagonal just a large 1.25 as it is nice, looked at it

It is actually, I have one myself!
Must be available in the 1.25” version as well.
The 1.25” Takahashi is not to be over looked either. A little gem as it’s 2” big brother .
