my first real DSO - Running Chicken - I think

First time actually getting some results from the setup. Oh so many problems...
Auto guider has not arrived, so I relied on on my polar alignment - mistake
A light was on in the house, and the dew shield had slipped down
Not sure I was on the target
General chaos!! etc...
Tried to correct in photoshop, ended up with this:
WO ZS71+flattener/corrector
600D astro mod
30 x 60 sec
Optolong UHC

Thanks for looking!

That would be M8/M20. Well you have stars, a flat field and accurate focus so good start. The auto-guider will make it a breeze.

Your star colours are spectacular. Hang on to that and never lose it.

We've only just (after 20 years) learned how to brighten the image in HSV space, which preserves those lovely star colours.

Definitely a positive outcome. You’ve grabbed data and produced an image and importantly identified things to look at for the next shot. The journey has begun
