Solar Activity 18th May 2020

A couple of AR's visible (the return of 2760?) a large new one coming into view on the East limb.
Interesting Proms on the East edge - one is a large plume!!!
Images in CaK and H alpha to follow.

Hi Ken

Knew they were coming, so as usual, it has turned cloudy and showery here. Managed to get some visual time on the AR and proms, would have loved to image them but not enough time between clouds and rain is imminent, which is a pity as they did look spectacular with the large plume extending out in to space for several 100,000 kms. though fainter than the other prom on the NE ! limb.

The plume prom is a sight to behold - very spectacular...and dynamic.
