I'm guessing you're hooked now.
Lovely part of the world in Hawkes Bay.
Fond memories, especially of Havelock North.
Good focus and detail in the Jupiter shot.
I think might be able to push things a bit further still:
- Avoid pushing the ISO too high, or things will get too "grainy"
- Use for a the fastest frame rate which gives you a decent histogram (eg. 60-80% max brightness), and capture for up to 3 minutes.
- Try stacking using AutoStakkert (does a better job then RegiStax)
- Use RegiStax for wavelets (sharpening & noise reduction)
- Final tweaks in Photoshop or similar (darken background, etc)
The are some pretty decent tutorials on YouTube etc also.
