Southern Pinwkeel Galaxy

It was pretty clear last night so i thought I'd try this one.
Not to sure about the colour and could do with more subs

120 x 90 sec @1100 ISO
Darks, bias, and flats subtracted
Canon 450d (modded)
6" Sykywatcher BD f/5
No guiding

Cheers
Andy

Looks good Andy - might be able to increase saturation to bring the colour up a bit?

Great capture Andy.
For my taste I like the colour the way you have it to give a natural look.
I stuff all my images with over saturation and they never look natural.

Great detail, but agree that the colour could be turned up

Thanks Alex , Chris, and Carlton.
I did a saturation boost on my tablet and its better.
I'll go back to Startools when i get my laptop out.
I'm getting right into galaxies at the moment, especially this time of year when there's plenty about.
Cheers

Plenty of detail in the Spirals so a good effort for short subs on your 6”
Yeh Startools will allow you to pull more out of this image
I use the scientific colour mode in Startools for galaxies, it really enhances the core
Great image !
Cheers

Very nice image, good data. Not sure how you work on your images so I can not comment on the colours, except you should be able to get much more than the blue you have
