How to - Set up Teamviewer for Observatory?

Currently i am running SGP on my laptop in the observatory and it works just fine with my new ASI1600 camera, however, given that i need to venture out there in the cold from time to time, how can i set up Teamviewer or some form of remote monitoring and control.
I would like to bring the main laptop back into the house and use a small form factor unit in the observatory. I have a small HP Stream laptop that i used in the past for dslr BYEOS imaging, and i coukd stick that in the observatory, it can run SGP but lacks the necessary USB3 ports for my powered Hub and the camera connection (camera has to be direct connect). I was considering a NUC box as they tend to have a fair number of USB3 connections. Any advice from people who have setup something like this? I would be relying on wifi extension, and i need a fair amount of storage space as the 1600 files are usually 32meg each and short sub imaging can pile up a lot of these quickly.

Do you know the IP address of your observatory machine? If you can, set it up as a static IP address, rather than DHCP/dynamic.

If you do, you can type that into TeamViewer and it'll go directly to your machine.

What you also need to do is to go into TeamViewer and ensure that it has Allow Incoming LAN Connections enabled in one of the screens. I don't have it front of me so I can't check for you.

If you don't, then, when you connect to your machine's TeamViewer ID, you'll be using your Internet bandwidth, rather than your local LAN.

Are you able to get a USB3 Express card for your HP laptop. Im going to do a very similar thing with my old Toshiba laptop and just RDC to it via a physical network cable (only 10m or so out a window).
