Lobster Nebula first attempt

I know the colour has issues but its the best I can manage at the moment.
I was after the Cats Paw and thought that was what I was imaging but got the neb next door
Thru the 80 mm Skywatcher on heq5 mount nikon d5500 camera...106 30 second light frames 13 darks no lights or bias cause I was disturbing those in the house apparently and had to pack it in...
Playedwith downsized and cropped via gimp in a rush cause I am going out now..I will reprocess later in Sydney when I buy PI.

Alex, probably a few colour issues as you said, however a top image mate.
I did exactly what you did once when i was first imaging as these two are pretty close together

Hi Alex

Whatever your doing to get the colour, keep doing it!

Good Job

It looks to be a clear night ahead so I'm all packed to stay out.
Combi has been off the road for 2 weeks but all fixed now.

M83 here I come...

Nice one Alex, plenty of good data to play with there, well resolved and it actually looks like a crustacean!

Thank you all for the encouragement.
Thank you Leon I dont use goto so there was a lot of guess work cause the finder misted up and the photos had more and unfamilar stars it seemed...the particular irony of this capture was the only astronomical object my daughter has asked me about was the lobster nebula because she had noticed the system had some rather large stars, not the biggest which we read about ..oh I forget its name but it seems if in place of our Sun its surface would be a out the orbit of jupiter I recall...best check for specifics if interested...however then by accident I capture it...one of the frames so had what was a short meteor or irridium flair...
So an unusual capture in the way I drscribe.
Hi Peter....
I have been thinking about the colour...it seems better in a dark site...I suppose thats obviois but I now recall playing with "hue" on the camera and perhaps left it up a notch ...But getting colour seemed to be a problem but now working out what colour it is remains...but at least there is plenty of colour to play with....anyways I use a xelasnave palette so the colours may be different to Hubble☺
Good to hear you have some neat plans I shall organise some good weather....

And Mick I will look...I went thru a phase of drawing stuff over nebula...might see if I can do something here. ..its like seeing things in clouds.

Thank again.
Alex

Nice image Alex. Mount dithering can make things worse, in some cases.

this works if you have the patience.
