Another NGC3576

Here is another rendition of this picturesque nebula taken from Sydney suburbs (thank goodness for narrowband!). Imaged through a GSO RC10 and QHY16200A camera. A total of 3.75hrs exposure in Ha 7nm. I'll throw some SII and O3 into the mix when the weather allows.

A bigger better version found here:

Thanks
Ted

Very nice Ted. I would use the shadows/highlights tool in Photoshop to selectively pull back a few areas where the highlights are a tad overexposed but the data no doubt it still there.

Greg.

Looks great Ted, bit of sharpening going on there ..but you sure have showcased the wealth of linear striations present in the gas structures

Thanks Mike, yes the extra decon & contrast is always my preference in Ha images to bring up structures, although even with this result I had to restrain myself I usually tone it down in SHO, since the colour tends to look after structures.

Hi Ted,
that's a top image.
It is perhaps ever so slightly over sharpened but I still like it.

cheers
Allan

Thanks, you can sort of get away with it when there is enough stuff in the field. I think 5 or 3nm would be more comfortable.
