Orion StarShoot Pro V2.0 Color CCD Imaging Camera ***LAST PRICE REDUX**

Here is an absolute beauty I have never used. Bought second hand off another fellow amateur Astronomer.
My main purpose is to do planetary photos so deep space photography was never my thing so this beauty must go.
IT is a superseded camera but it has some excellent specs as seen here.
http://www.telescope.com/Orion-StarS...ra/p/52085.uts

Updated drivers available here
http://www.telescope.com/Product-Sup...10/p/99573.uts
I have the original software as well which will be provided.
(please note I dropped the original cd just after I backed it up onto another cd so you must use the backup to install the software/drivers)
Features:
Features:

  • The StarShoot Pro V2.0 is a 6.1-megapixel CCD astronomical imaging camera capable of taking high resolution astrophotographs for a low price
  • Astronomy camera attaches to a telescope to take stunning astrophotographs you'll want to hang on your wall and share with friends or fellow astronomy club members
  • The on-board 6.1-megapixel Sony CCD sensor measures 25.10mm x 17.64mm and features a 3032 x 2016 pixel array for sharp astrophotograph resolution
  • Thermoelectric cooling (TEC) and an adjustable on-board cooling fan minimizes background noise for clear and sharply detailed astrophotographs
  • Compatible with Windows Operating Systems (32 bit and 64 bit). ASCOM drivers are available for use with a number of popular image processing programs, such as Nebulosity, ImagesPlus, and more.

These used to retail for $1100 US so it is reasonable to ask for (final reduction) $580 ono, postage extra

I tested it on windows 10 platform 64 bit and it works fine using maxim dl essentials which is supplied. Haven't tested it with other imaging software but because the updated drivers work I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Although it can capture planets it's designed more for deep space usage.
I have used it once since that posting on my celestron c9.25 with no issues.
I'll post a pic tonight of what I took with it.
I haven't had much luck with it using shaprcap but maxim dl works a treat as long as you install all the drivers.

10 30 second subs no darks etc just lights, taken using maxim dl essentials stacked in nebulosity 4, final processing in Photoshop.
My deep sky processing is only at the beginners stage. It may be an older camera but has lots of potential.
