Moonrise

Just starting to experiment with nightscapes.
Canon 350D at 1/160 sec, 400 ISO, 145mm fl at f/5.
Raw image processed in PixInsight

I'll try to have another go at it next full moon. I have in mind a "fake". Take the moon and its reflection and then later in the night take the trees illuminated by the moon from the same camera position and make a montage. The current pic has the trees too dark and no colour.

That's exactly the technique I am working on at the moment as well. To make a composite image of the same scene but with the foreground and sky components taken on the same night but different times.
