Last night 1-4-18

Last night I made some small adjustments to the collimation and the dew didn't give me to much grief which was good overall good condition to image with.

Jupiter was 73° and 42.5 arcsecond in size at time of capture 2018/04/01 1603 UT.

Equipment used: C11, ASI224mc and ADC.

Real good definition. I'd like to see it with more colour saturation myself.

Here is mars at 43° altitude and 8.5 arcseconds at time of capture 2018/04/01 1618 UT.

I now have added a bit more Glenn

Love the Jupiter image. The processing looks very relaxed giving a pleasing, natural look with lovely detail.

So am I correct in thinking that we're pretty much looking down on the Schiaparelli Crater with Meridani Planum to the Left and Syrtis Major to the Right? Just trying to get my Mars geography up to scratch before opposition.

Also Troy, do you ever play with the other F ratio configurations of your scope (F7 and F2?) or do you just leave it at F10?

Cheers all.

Markus the details for mars CM 318.1°. So yes Syrtis Major on the right, I have attached mars with a couple of features.

Here you can find a good feature map of Mars. Also my images shows the current phase where the map doesn't.

I forgot to answer the other question.

I do vary it, so far this year it's been between F/18 - F/20 but if I can get better seeing I will increase it a bit more.
