I was surprised at reason that they gave, that there was no Meteorites at Goss's Bluff because of weathering.
I have information that says that the impact, like Tunguska was a Comet mainly made of water ice, that in fact the remnant that is now the crater is the uplift from the compression, similar to what you see on Moon craters with the central peaks.
The main crater was about 25 kilometers wide and as shown in the program can be envisioned from the air.
I don't think Tamara Davis or the Geologist she had with her did a very good job of describing the crater.
The Shocked quartz description was good though.
I have walked this crater and read a bit about it as well.
There was a couple of other things she said which I took exception
too as well.
The program was generally good though.

I've yet to catch up with this one - we recorded it to the DVD player, so hopefully will get round to seeing it over the weekend.

Hi Marc

I just unraveled a DNA strand from one of my brain cells and had at look at the 3.5 billion Base Pairs and the Genetic Structure (but only the 1st 20,000 genes) but couldn't find any genetic material from an asteroid.

However, I did find some genetic RNA coding for a Neanderthal Man.

My genes did predict that I would become a Tak owner thought...

Cheers

Watched this last week and enjoyed it so watched the repeat last night and I must say that the section on the Murchison meteorite and the following section of the testing / experimenting being done at Rotorua NZ with organic compounds was most interesting and worth watching again.
