Cartes du Ciel help please

Hello Folk,
After several years of happily using CDC to slew my 'scope & sync on stars I recently accidentally pressed a series of buttons to put it in a state that I could not recover from.
So I uninstalled the program and removed all its data files and re-installed it, put in my location and nominated the correct ASCOM telescope.
CDC connects to the mount and "goes to" the selected object.

My usual practice was then to "sync" the star and proceed with my evenings activities.
Now after slewing I find that it will not issue the sync, the the sync icon shows a little padlock .

How do I enable the sync function? I am sure it must be in the documentation somewhere but I can not find it.
Chris

I was thrown by this as well, in the new version the sync command has been removed from the toolbar by default. Simply right click on the toolbar were the telescope buttons are and open the toolbar editor. In the toolbar editor scroll the left side down to 'Telescope' and highlight the 'Sync' command, then press the right arrow to move it to the main bar and press OK. Hope that helps.

Thanks,
I followed your instructions to bring up the tool bar editor and scrolled down. There is no 'sync' button. so I tried the rest of your instructions on the 'track telescope button'
too no avail.
See attached picture.
What have I missed?

No problem, it should be under the telescope heading.

Thank you David,
Even this thicko could follow that.
I now have an additional little dome on the tool bar which shows "sync" on hover.

With the next bit of clear sky I can test it.

Have you any idea why this useful icon was removed by default?

Again Thanks
Chris
