Sunset at Kiandra Goldfields (& Brumbies)

Just a quick snap from my stargazing trip to the KNP on the weekend....
Sun setting over Kiandra Goldfields....

I went to sleep early as it was cloudy but set my alarm for 3am and woke to clear skies in the darkest of dark sites....

Nice!
This should have been in the monthly photo comp Matt. It'd get a vote from me.

That's a gorgeous shot Matt!
And as Trev said, you should've entered it in the photo comp , but entries closed last night. The title was "Golden Hour Activity"- my challenge title issued as I won last month- I'm still so chuffed at winning, could be a one off so enjoying the moment

The evening at Kiandra was beautiful indeed, and in the morning I woke to find a mob of brumbies having their breakfast just outside the motorhome door.....

Great photos Matt, I often ride my motorbike through Kiandra, and then to Tumbarumba. I often see the "products" of the wild horses by the side of the road, yet have never seen them. I shall have to get up ealier in the morning!

It is such a beautiful part of the country, I have spent a large part of the past 40 years in the Snowys, both summer and winter.....

John, no doubt you would have stopped at these places:
