Another M42 - my first away from Melbourne

Taken in the backyard of my in-laws house in Numurkah in country Victoria.

20 x 90 seconds exposures.
8"F5 reflector on an AZ-EQ6 mount. No guiding. Ed80 camera

I have to work a few things out, such as shorter exposures and blending images in order not to blow out the core.

I also am going to learn some stuff on colour manipulation as the camera shows too much blue in the final image.

Lots to learn

Very nice indeed, but your camera is not showing too much blue, in fact the
very reverse; the outer nebulosity of both M42 and "The Running Man"
is bluer than shown in your image.[ I realise that the latter is not included in your image, but mentioned it because it is of course alongside M42, and appears in most M42 images.]
