Sorry about the title ... wicked sense of humor
Friday night I did setup to collect data for the cloudy nights, and I wanted to test the modified CGEM-DX more,
so I jump all over the sky and had fun
. The PHD2 guide RMS was around 0.5" ... but still has issues. Sometimes the DEC start moving (despite good polar alignment) and PHD not pulse till late. Not sure what the reason for this. May be guide-scope flexing?
Anyhow, here is the Great Orion Nebula early season.
One (first) with Ha as luminescence. My processing skill very primitive, please forgive me. To merge RGB with the Ha was very difficult (for me).
The scope is 80ED with CCDT67 working around 0.73x ... my estimation.
Filters Astronomics RGB and Astrodon Ha.
Camera Atik's 314L+
3x300sec subs and 20min for Ha. I know, the core is blown out... yet to learn HDR processing in PS.
Att also NGC253 and NGC1097 .... too short of exposure for pretty pic, but I'm just happy to take pics and the CGEM guide well... after the knock-out with the UTE
Happy to hear your comments
Cheers,
Mick
