Easter Monday super solar prominence on show

Hi everyone

The sun put on quite a show on the weekend and I was lucky enough to get a good look at a large prom.

This is my first attempt at solar time lapse the proper way.

I have made an avi of the prom activity here:
http://vimeo.com/92691191

This is about 1hr 10 mins of this prom taken with a dmk21 in a pst on the back of an 10' lx200 in sydney starting at 11 am Easter Monday - 60fps for 15 seconds at 1 minute intervals - each frame stacked in registax and processed in registax.

Now if anyone has a method for cropping the registax output so the video edges aren't jittery that would be appreciated. Colorising would be the next step too.

Hope you enjoy
Cheers Karen

fantastic effort there - and as it happens i managed to get the exact same thing - have posted that in the solar system area. I did outline what i did in another thread I think - its hard to automate fully - you still need to do the hard yards
