Which ballhead for Polarie?

I broke the Velbon ballhead that came with the Polarie, so am looking to replace it, does anyone have any recommendations for which ball head to go for, possibly one that is a bit better at holding a heavy camera?

RSS BH-40. You're not going to break that one It carries up to 8kg.

Cheers

Sounds good. Do you mean the RRS BH-40?
Know where I can pick one up locally?
It looks like they cost more than the Polarie :O

Yes, RRS of course, I always get that wrong...

I'm not aware of any local stockists, I bought my gear from them direct.

Come to think of it, for use with the Polarie the smaller BH-30 may be sufficient and more appropriate.

Cheers
Steffen.

RRS gear is excellent stuff but pricey. Have a look at the Manfrotto 494RC2 or 496RC2 for something more affordable.

Maximum recommended payload for Polarie is 3kg, no point in getting big heads as it just adds more weight.
