Sidonio'd or Warded?

Resampled the whole hot tamale of Eta Carinae Neb in PixInsight, ran a whole bunch of Rick-arithms, threw it into PS CS6, got a nuclear pink flamboyant Dame Edna, then toned it back somewhat.

I dunno...pink isn't me...I like red (heck, surrounded by redheads...)

Whatchathink?

It is a little Pink, as you say but i reckon it is probably closer in colour than some which are over saturated at times.

I quite like it.

Yeah I also reckon it's much better. Looks pink because it's deep but the colours are on the money IMHO.

I am deeply offended Mike. DEEPLY. To the bottom of my corpulence. And that's deep.

I hated PI for years...now it KIND OF makes sense. KIND of, in that twisted Spanish odd way. Like gazpacho.

Nice work Lewis, though I still prefer the view through an eyepiece on an 18" Newt.... or a pair of Tacks....

Tacks in your eye...sounds piercing.

It is a lovely Vista in a nicely made Newt. The time I looked at it with Guinevere was splendid.

A senior check said to me many years ago "you should always chase the pink bits"...which you've done in spades here

(...he was of course referring to the target information on Boeing instrument panels ! )

https://www.astrobin.com/full/333426/B/?nc=user

More dark contrast, "attenuated" pink.

Oh it's a hard choice Lewis.
I like both you're red and your pink versions mate. EDIT: and now a third "Max Factor" version while I was typing.
You've certainly got some nice data there and it's a huge improvement over the horsey data.
That one got fouled up somehow.
Maybe settle for something in between the red and pink, I don't know.... maybe try again.
If it turnes out nice then you could say you RB'd it.

Which reminds me, I must redo my images, it's been years since I've taken any Deep Sky objects.
Just have to decide whether to use the ol' TOA130 or try out the TOA150.

Did you read the deleted post I made? Or did Dave tell ya?

Yeah, considering it's a touch over 1hr data in severe LP, it's not half bad if I say so myself. Speaks a lot about fast f-ratios (but the Baby Q at f/5.3 is not THAT fast - wait till I get the reducer from Claude...then it'll burn!)

Horsey...well, it is pretty dim to start with, and again it's only 1 hr with an 85mm scope! Give it SOME credit OK, you don't have to. Thing I like about the Horse is the framing - I LOVE long portrait style framing for objects like these rather than landscape - accentuates the object itself. Of course, a diffuse neb looks better in landscape.

Yes, IMAGE YOU LAZY SOD! I thought I was bad, always finding excuses and continual excuses of "testing the gear". Nike it! (Just do it!)

Funny - with my Microsoft "Night Light" on, the revision looks pinker than your undies! Turn it off and it's not THAT pink.
