Jupiter 17-19 March

Hi, here are a couple of pictures over the last few days. First image from the 17th I have south facing up, it's just for aesthetics reasons only.
The second image from last night is of Io, Io shadow and I managed to capture the GRS. Although low level wind and some fine clouds washed out all the fine detail but I still thought I would share it with you. North is up on the second image also

Cheers

Seriously good resolution there Troy, great details in that first frame especially. You did far better than I did, a few hours later (morning of 18th local time) when the seeing was not so good in Sydney.

Absolutely amazing Troy, first image is so natural looking with perfect colour and incredible resolution.

Cheers,
Andy I'm 2hrs down the highway just before Newcastle.

The seeing here on the night was going from 4/10 to 6/10 in a very short amount of time. Watching the video you can clearly see the shimmering affect on Jupiter but all the fine detail was still sharp!
Which is pretty much what I saw earlier on - but with the star image.

Lucky imaging methods are really suited for that situation grabbing all the 6/10 images and stacking them together.
