Eta Fever....

Gollum like internal struggles aside eg:
"Musn't take it....
But it's my precious!...
No! you've done it to death...
but it's so precious.....arrrg...."

In the end I figured, I really needed to try the new toy with this old standard.

Fortunately it didn't take a lot of telescope time. I think I can move on...well.....maybe..

+1 Superb field of the program. I did it the other night but due for a reshoot due to a real bad PA and field rotation.

A fantastic field. It captured just the right amount of field to really show it off.

Greg.

That is the most wonderful demonstration of the Interconnectedness of All Things. The Gem Cluster, Gabriella, the Eta Carinae Nebula, and something that looks like an auxiliary Witch Head Nebula at top right, all part of one great entity.

Awesome!

There always has to be one...

Indeed...but not coma...and in all corners....I suspect the QUAD spacing is still off-spec by 1mm or so.
Those pesky 3 micron pixels don't come without a price.
Nailing it down is on my "to do" list .

Thanks guys. Not an epic effort, but gives one confidence the system will work well on more taxing imagery.

Eta Carinae

This is just a stunning image of Eta Carinae, Peter. Mesmerising and massively hi-res. Congrats on this outstanding image.

I think I might replace my humble ASI071MC pro for the QHY600. (When the time comes, I'll be in contact )

Cheers,
Richard
