Hi if anyone is online tonight i was hoping for some advice in getting my camera settings correct for taking a photo of the occutation of Jupiter tonight.
I'm not using a telescope, just the camera (Canon 1100D with 250mm lens) on a tripod. I can get a great shot of the Moon at 1/250sec F8 ISO 100. If I make the shutter speed longer I can pick up the moons of Jupiter in the picture, but that makes the moon very bright, and puts what looks like layers of light at different brightness's coming off the moon.
Are there setting I can use to capture Jupiter and it's moons as well as the Moon without the Moon being too bright?
Thanks.
