Sun & AR2783 today

Been a bit poor for old Sol this week with cloud etc. I have a lot of data to process from this morning and here is my first quick image of AR2783.

Took some more animation but hard (impossible) getting it under 200Kb.
There is some great prom activity happening.

Thanks for looking, more to come.
Peter

The AR is looking good Peter, that's a good image considering the unstable air today in SE QLD.

Peter,
Well done mate!
You could try saving the animation as a GIF??

Thank you all, really appreciate the encouragement and that helps when you have 100gb of data to still process! OK..so Houghy reigns king at what? 7Tb?

I am having an absolute blast with this solar stuff, feel like a kid with a 60mm scope all over again...ok it is a 60mm scope but not my Tasco 66T from yonks ago!

Seeing this stuff happening is way addictive!

Here is one of the animations showing what I am calling plasma bombs raining back down? This was a fainter prom than the bigger one I am trying to get onto IIS.

Dave, thanks for this idea I will look at creating a Youtube link over the weekend.
Ok it is smaller than I thought would be, but with a 27inch screen you see what I mean... on a phone then its fly poo on the screen, sorry.

Really nice work Peter and quite a surprise to see the results given the local conditions.

Lovely detail and nice (small) animation.

Cheers

Great to see your work Peter. I'm disappointed I couldn't stay longer on Saturday to fully appreciate what can be see with the Mark 1 eyeball through one of these scopes.

Nice to see your animation Peter, I gave up due to the wind.

Another alternative to Youtube, if you want to post larger animations on this forum Peter, you can open a free Flickr account. You then upload your large animation file to Flickr and use the share option and post your link here, which then links back to your flickr page.
