Sun Nov 26th

Nov 26th. Sunspot group 2786 continues to develop. I managed two pics this morning with a Canon 550d camera, both single exposures. The orange one at Ha wavelength, yellow at 540 nm. I measured the diameter of AR2786 at about 54,000 km. It will be interesting to follow its progress over the next few days. Thanks for viewing.

Great stuff John. I really did like the sharp yellow light image you have posted. What shutter speed did you use on this frame? Well done.

Gerard, The yellow pic was taken at 1/200 sec x iso200 @ f 5.6 thru a WO 81 mm refractor with a Baader wedge.
