Great test. I recently acquired a FSQ106EDxIII too and am wondering if I have a similar issue….

I also got rid of the CAA and just used rigid adaptors
It doesnt take much to be out of alignment!

Although its sometimes hard to know when to stop chasing these small defects.
I removed the Tak focuser and replaced it with a Gemini Rotating Focuser. OMG that thing is epic
