I seem to remember that a lot of newbies have problems with the SkyWatcher focuser, and its various adapters.

The GSO Dobs only have issues with the 30mm Superview, and so do other scopes. My Mak also needs an extension tube with that particular eyepiece.

Have you tried it in your SkyWatcher Dobs?

Cheers

From my memory you have to remove the 2inch to 1.24 eyepiece adapter. This means when you put in a 2inch eyepiece its positioned too far inward and you dont have enough back focus in the focuser. Either pull out the 2inch eyepiece and clamp it as stated before, or get a 2inch extension about the same length as the reduction adapter supplied.

You remove the 2" to 1.25" adaptor, and replace it with the 2" adaptor,[supplied as standard] which takes two shakes, and then slide the 2" EP right home. Nothing difficult or confusing about that, except that none
of the SW Newts I've owned included instructions on how to do it in their
user manuals, which resulted in all the confused posters on this forum.
Also, as I said, the SW Newts reach prime focus.
Steffen, I don't have knowledge of the 30mm Superview EP, but I do have Andrews 15 and 30mm 80 degree 2" EPs
with a screw on 1.5 x Barlow. They both focus easily, with or without the barlow. I imagine that these EPs are
clones of another brand/model. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Yes thank you! That's what I have been doing. My point is that these dobs with the 30 mm ep are not compatible, newbies money are compatible.
Also i had never owned a scope before(only bino) but I can say the EP supplied are inadequate even for the beginner.

Hi Simone, I understand that you have a Bintel supplied Dob, so I assume
that you are referring to the EPs that came with that scope, because whilst the EPs that come with SW Dobs are not the best, they are
certainly not inadequate for getting the newbie happily gazing upward.
