Gauging interest for anyone who would be interested in purchasing a Celestron CI700 equatorial mount..... most likely for 'spare parts' or a rebuild project.
I purchased this mount together with a Celestron C11, however the mount is surplus to my needs. The seller, who was advertising on behalf of his brother who had recently passed away, would not split the package so I ended up buying the lot.
What is included:
- CI 700 mount
- Tripod (comes with a bag)
- CI 700 Drive Controller
- Hand controller
- Advanced Astro Master
- Pelican 1550 Case for the mount head
Unfortunately this mount does NOT come with the following (the seller had no idea where these parts were):
- counterweight bar
- counterweight
- cabling.
The drive controller definitely powers up, as does the Advanced AstroMaster unit but I am unable to test the motors.
In light of the above, happy to consider ANY/ALL offers….. however, due to the size and weight of the mount, pickup only from Grange, South Australia.
