Look up and left and ye shall see, the hairy little man that is me!!!

Also here is another shot of me showing my affection for my wonderfull 8" dob that has served me well for many years. The booster stand was built to accomodate my 6'1" height. With it I can comfortably view any part of the sky standing up .

yep, I keep all my toys in that box!!! it is great cause it is one wheels... so it can carry the three eye peace cases, cameras and battery etc...

Filter was a home-made Milar filter, stopped down from 150mm to 125mm.

here some of the results

OK.... here's a pic of me with my trusty (and sometimes dusty) Orion XT8 in my backyard. The dob is sitting on the homemade base that I threw together out of scrap lumber I had in my garage. The photo is from a few summers ago. We're knee deep in snow out in the backyard right now.

After a month or 2 in the forums I just stumbled upon this one! Thought I'd better do the done thing and post a pic of myself...

Rather than the usual scope/astronomy pic... a shot from a trip to NZ over a year back now with my partner who also has put up with years of my astronomy addiction.

As much as I enjoy astronomy, I prefer the peaceful open space of the country & hiking....

Roger.
