NGC2237 - First SHO image

I have to say 'what a nightmare'.
Keeping track of what flat belongs to what filter, forgetting to add tags to the separate Ha, O2 & Si images...

I can see it takes a lot of discipline to not end up in a big mess and can now see the effort you guys & girls put in.

Stats:
Si, O2 and Ha all 2hrs each filter (5min subs) total 6 hours.

Si mapped to Red
Ha mapped to Green
O2 mapped to Blue.

Then removed some green and ramped up the saturation to make it look 'pretty', following the principle of 'no rules' and 'no idea'.

Thanks for looking and if you have some tips please do!

And why are all the stars red?

Great close up Peter. Your star profiles look good and you have plenty of fine details. Nice colors too.

Looks great, Peter! I think you have the colours balanced nicely there.

One quick improvement might be to get rid of some magenta star colour. In PI this is a simple Invert-SCNR-remove green-Invert.

Is this with the esprit 150?

Lovely colours Pete. I don't mind some magenta left in the stars, just a little always reminds me of the early Hubble shots using this now famous palette
