Dark sky excitement

This weekend I will be taking my imaging equipment to my first dark site. I have never been away before with a telescope and the prospect of taking photos from somewhere dark finally is exciting.

I am spending the long weekend close to wilpena pound which should provide my scope with very dark skies. My only issue now is choosing an object to shoot as my usual list is mostly Hydrogen emmision to take advantage of narrow band images.

Im thinking a deep galaxy

Good luck! I'd be interested to know how you get on with the full moon, as I've always written full moon weekends off and meekly submitted to the demands of the family. If you can still get some good data, please share!
Regards,
Andrew.
