autoguiding... Help!!!

I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers with my autoguiding setup.

I have a meade LX200 10# being guided by an Orion Starshoot autoguider piggy-backed on an 80mm guide scope.

I run the autoguider from a macbook running windows XP under parallels and the guide camera is connected to the autoguide port on the meade mount.

I'm using PHD Guiding software and I get a picture through the camera.
What appears not to be working is the mount adjustments going back via the camera to the mount. PHD has done a calibration but within 10 minutes or so guiding is lost because the star has moved. I also get errors from time-to-time saying "not enough movement" when calibrating.

I have tried the manual guiding within PHD but the mount doesn't move.

I'm hoping I have missed a setting some how.
Is anyone else doing something similar?
Cheers,
Ben.

Hi Theo, thanks for the fast response. I have selected "on Camera" from the mount options.

I have packed up for the night but I'll check all the settings again.
Cheers,
Ben.

Ben, i have had this happen in the past, and it was usually as i had forgotten to plug the guide cable into the autoguider port.

check the PHD settings, sometimes it can turn of guiding on the dec axis if it doesnt get enough movement, but take heart, anytime i have had this error, its always been something really simple, and a slaphead moment

EDIT : I have also had this when trying to guide on a piece of dirt, or a hot pixel, but dont tell anyone !!

I know what you mean about slaphead moments.. I had one of those the other night wondering why I couldn't see any stars through the guidescope... took me 15mins to realise the lens cap was on.. Doh!

I'll check the settings again tomorrow night. Thanks for the input.
Cheers,
Ben.
