IR lighting in OBS

So I have just managed to make my Obs remotely operated, and I was thinking it would be a good idea to set up a web cam and monitor the scope. I was thinking of a cheap webcam combined with an IR light.

Would you think too much IR light would start to affect images? I would have thought not as my CCD already has an IR filter, but, I could be wrong!

I have an security camera with IR-lights. I can clearly see trough OAG autoguider image if its on or off. I recommend to turn it of when imaging
