Single shot of Ribblehead Viaduct at night

A few days ago I did a 12 hour day to night to day time lapse at Ribblehead Viaduct in the Yorkshire Dales, in all I took 1,830 images. Below is one of the images which I've processed separately in Lightroom and Photoshop to show some of the clear sky and Milky Way showing through the clouds at the Viaduct. The exposure for this particular image was 20 seconds at f1.4 and ISO 6400 with my Sony A7Sii and Samyang 24mm f1.4
This image was taken at 11:48pm and is image number 772 out of the 1,830 that I took

The full video can be seen at the following link and this image comes just before half way of the actual time lapse clip

Strange to think that you would go out on a cloudy night to photograph the stars....but there is so much that works with this image everything gels nicely and the hint of the stars reminds me they are still there behind the clouds....a work of art!

Thanks for the comments, the thing with the weather was that all the forecasts showed that there would be clear periods and as I was planning on shooting a 12 hour time lapse having the dynamics of cloud movement in some of the end video would add a nice effect. I have found that when doing time lapse at night it isn't necessary to have a completely clear sky so you can be just as productive even when you have the moon up and a few clouds, unlike with deep sky imaging. If you haven't already seen it check out the "Holy Grail" time lapse from my last post to see what I mean
Best wishes
Gordon

Gordon, great work, just a pleasure to watch! Looks like it took the cloud some time to make up its mind which way to drift
